Statesville (N.C.) juniors Carlis Parker and Tristan Mumford were in Blacksburg last Thursday for Virginia Tech's win over ACC rival North Carolina. The two gridiron standouts attended camp at Tech this past summer, and it appears they enjoyed the return trip.

"He had a really good time," Statesville head coach Randall Gusler said of Parker, a 6'4", 185-pound quarterback prospect. "He really enjoyed it. It was a cold game, but it was really nice and he liked the atmosphere. One thing that impressed him too was when he was down on the sideline. Him and Tristan both got to go out and speak with Coach Beamer. A bunch of recruits were there, but only a couple got to walk out and see Coach Beamer."
