Virginia Tech has extended a scholarship offer to Highland Springs (VA) running back/linebacker Jerome Wright, who is truly a sleeper in the 2012 class. The 6'2", 220-pound Wright, home-schooled from third grade through 11th, worked his way to become a major part of head coach Loren Johnson's squad. And now he has an offer to show for his efforts.
"He has a gray-shirt offer from Virginia Tech," Johnson said. "He's just waiting to take the official visit, so his mother can see everything. They've been to UVa for an unofficial visit. Now, he's waiting to take an official or unofficial to Virginia Tech."
