Virginia Tech has dipped into the Tar Heel state for its latest 2012 class commitment. 5'11", 175-pound running back Chris Mangus , who has started on Broughton High School's (Raleigh, N.C.) varsity level since his sophomore year, verbally committed to Tech this afternoon.
Mangus, rated a 3-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals and Scout, chose the Hokies over UVa. He also had offers from Clemson, Duke, N.C. State, Notre Dame and Wake Forest.
