Virginia Tech-bound safety/wide receiver Desmond Frye and the rest of Thomas Dale's varsity football squad began preseason practice this week, the start of what Knights head coach Kevin Tucker hopes is a long and successful season. A young Dale team finished last season 5-5 but won three of its final four games. Led by a talented group of skill athletes and a tough group of linemen, there is reason for optimism heading into 2011.
