Broughton High School (Raleigh, N.C.) began preseason practice recently, and rising senior running back Chris Mangus is anxious to build off of last season's successes. The 5'11", 175-pound prospect totaled approximately 1,600 yards of offense, including over 1,300 yards rushing, in head coach Chris Martin's spread offense. Combining a good work ethic with speed and quickness, Mangus continues to progress on the high school level.

Coach Martin first took notice of Mangus in 2008, when the skilled back performed well on the freshman team. Most Broughton sophomores play on the junior varsity squad, but Mangus was too talented to keep off the varsity squad in 2009.
