King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) head coach Joe Jones fielded a young team last season, at one point starting seven sophomores and one freshman on defense. The young team grew over the course of the year, capping off 2010 with three consecutive wins. Led by 2013 class standout defensive back Charles Clark , the Bulldogs have worked hard this offseason and are ready for a successful 2011 season.
"This is probably the most excited and optimistic I've been since I've been in coaching," Jones said. "I'm excited about our kids this year and the potential. We played a lot of young kids last year. Most will be juniors this year, and they've been working hard and doing things on their own. This is a great group of kids."
