In rising senior Seth Dooley , Glenvar (Salem, VA) head coach Kevin Clifford believes he has a true "diamond in the rough." Dooley, a defensive end and tight end, showed well last season, leading the team in sacks and tackles for loss despite having no previous high school football experience. He has the physical package college coaches want, beginning with size.
"He is over 6'5". When I measured him recently, he was actually a little over 6'5"," Clifford said. "We weigh the kids periodically. He is now between 225 and 230 pounds. He weighed in at Virginia's camp at 226 or 227. He's a big kid. He's extremely raw, but he's only going to get better. I've coached for 22 years. I grew up in Orlando, coached in south Florida and in Miami. In my career, I've had four D1 defensive ends, and he's the best one."
