The ACC has never had two teams make the BCS in the 13 years that
organization has been in existence. Considering the history and tradition of
some of the big name teams from this league, that is very disappointing. That
trend has got to end at some point. Could this year be the year?
Virginia Tech has won the ACC in four of the last seven seasons, and appeared
in one Sugar Bowl and three Orange Bowls. Florida State, Wake Forest and Georgia
Tech were the other ACC winners in the years Virginia Tech didn't take the
crown.
