Davion Tookes , a Virginia Tech football recruit, was one of the members of Creekside High School's (Fairburn, GA) state champion 4X100 relay squad this spring. The 5-11, 170-pound junior cornerback, now involved in Creekside football's spring practice, ran the opening leg of the state championship final.

"I was able to get [a clean start]," said Tookes, who had Creekside "five to 10 meters" ahead of the competition after the first leg.
