The Virginia Tech offense put on a clinic on Friday night, throwing for 375 yards and three touchdowns. However, don't get too excited, because cornerback Jayron Hosley was out with a slight concussion, and the Hokies were playing third string cornerbacks with the second team. Still, the showing from the offense was enough to make even the most cautious fan optimistic.
Logan Thomas was 9-of-16 for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He hit two deep balls to Danny Coale that were perfect throws, including one that was placed right over the cornerback and the safety. They didn't come against the starting defense, but they were impressive throws anyway.
