Dahman McKinnon returned to his Hope Mills, North Carolina, home last Saturday as the newest member of Virginia Tech's 2012 football recruiting class. In the 6-2, 200-pound junior, Virginia Tech gets a prospect that seems tailor made for the Whip linebacker spot. McKinnon certainly thought so, as position is a big reason why he committed Virginia Tech.

"I was really comfortable when I went there. They showed me a great time," said McKinnon, a product of South View High School. "The coaches were really straightforward with me. It had everything I wanted. They are recruiting me to play a specific position (Whip) that is pretty much what I do now in high school, only it would be on the college level."
