Virginia Tech scored big at Warren Central (Indianapolis, IN) in the 2011 class, securing a commitment from top defensive tackle prospect Kris Harley. With Harley just weeks away from officially becoming a Hokie, the Virginia Tech staff is in hot pursuit of another Warriors defensive tackle, junior Sheldon Day .
"They offered Sheldon," said Warren Central defensive coordinator Steve Tutsie, referring to Virginia Tech. "He is very excited. Cincinnati got in after, but [primary recruiter] Charley [Wiles] offered before anybody else. That's what he did with Kris. They have Engineering, which Sheldon likes. Also, Kris' family and Sheldon's family are good friends. I'm not trying to talk for Sheldon, but I'd be surprised if he's not a Hokie."
