Sanford (Fayetteville, N.C.) athlete Dante McDonald is scheduled to make an official visit to Virginia Tech this weekend. The 6-0, 195-pound senior is excited about the upcoming trip, though he doesn't expect to learn anything new with respect to a scholarship offer.
"What I really like about Coach Wiles is that he's a real honest dude," said McDonald, who last spoke with the Tech defensive line coach last Friday. "He was supposed to come to my home for a visit, but he couldn't go down. He said he would come by sometime after my visit this weekend. As far as the possibility of an offer goes, he said they probably wouldn't know until sometime in January."
