Junior defensive tackle Korren Kirven has emerged as one of Brookville's (Lynchburg, VA) top players this season, helping the Bees to a 10-1 overall record and a spot in tomorrow night's Region III, Division 3 semifinals against defending state champ Northside. The 6-4, 260-pound prospect has attracted serious attention from three ACC schools.
"He's physical," Brookville head coach Jeff Woody said of Kirven. "He's only 15 years old, but he's a big kid. It comes from good genes. I believe his father played basketball at Liberty University. Korren plays basketball and does the shotput in track. He is an athletic individual. His growth potential is tremendous. He's good in the classroom. He has a good home life and he works hard. And he's smooth."
