Saturday afternoon, the Hokies steamrolled a Wake Forest team that has fallen
a long way from its perch as 2006 ACC Champions. The Virginia Tech offense
rolled up video game numbers in yardage and points, while the defense showed a
troubling propensity for giving up big plays that could cost them down the road.
Tech has Duke next weekend, but after that, November is going to be a wild ride.
It's best not to analyze a game like this too closely, because (stop me if
you've heard this one) things are never as good as they seem, and never as bad
as they seem. On Saturday, things were very, very good ... on offense, at least.
