"He's the core of our defense," said Dan River head coach Ferrell Edmunds, Trey's father. "He plays inside linebacker on defense. He's the main force on our defense. On offense, if we gave the ball to him 20 to 25 times a game, we probably wouldn't lose a game. But we are already asking so much of the kid. We ask him to play every snap. We have to be smart with how we use him. Being the athlete he is makes him such a big part of our team."
