A self described "military brat," Drew Owens has had his share of travels. His family's latest move was from Italy to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they have since 2008. Owens has since become one of the top high school football prospects in the state of North Carolina's 2011 class.
A 6-5, 225-pound tight end, Owens has received 14 official FBS scholarship offers to date. ACC programs Clemson, Duke, Maryland, UNC, N.C. State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are included on the list of offers. ECU, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are among the others to offer as well with Louisville being the most recent offer to come through.
