Cox (Virginia Beach, VA) standout Derek DiNardo , a first-team all-Tidewater selection in 2009, has accepted a recruited walk-on spot at Virginia Tech. The 6-1, 205-pound athlete informed the Tech coaches of his decision this morning, a few weeks after being offered the opportunity.
"The coaches seemed excited. They said, 'Welcome to the family'," DiNardo said.
