Butler (Matthews, N.C.) guard Anthony Stitt is hoping a big-time junior season equates to major Division 1 offers. The 6-1, 175-pound prospect has some solid offers in the fold already, including Charlotte, Richmond, VCU and William & Mary, but the higher level D1 programs would like to see more.
"Anthony has gotten major interest from Virginia Tech and Clemson. Those are the primary two out of the ACC," Butler head coach Kurt Wessler said. "He has tremendous interest from Cincinnati and Xavier. He has offers from A-10 schools and Colonial schools. I think, when you look at the ACC and Big East schools, a lot of them are taking a wait-and-see approach. Coach Purnell from Clemson has been here already. I think the offers will be there for him."
