After forfeiting its first six games - all wins - due to playing an ineligible player, Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA), one of the top teams in the state this season, lost any shot of making the playoffs and potentially a state title. Resilient, the team won its final four games to finish at 4-6, and a talented junior class is already looking forward to next season.
"I know they would like to pick up and get going as soon as possible," Ocean Lakes head coach Chris Scott said. "The only way we can be successful is to make the most of the off-season. That's our motivation. Our junior class is an exciting class. We lose a big playmaker with [senior wide receiver] Justin Hunter, but we've got some guys coming back."
