Bishop Kearney (Rochester, N.Y.) tight end Zack McCray had communicated frequently before meeting face to face for the first time this past weekend, when the prospects were in Blacksburg along with eight other Tech 2010 class commits. As it turns out, the 6-5, 230-pound McCray and the 6-4, 230-pound Lewis have a lot more in common than just similar height and weight.
"We are a lot alike. It was almost scary," McCray said with a laugh. "We like and dislike the same things. We joke around. We had some of the same football injuries. I had broken my phone and he broke his pretty much the same way over the weekend. It was crazy.
