Certain schools are associated with certain positions because they are known
for sending outstanding players at that position into the NFL. Auburn and Miami
are both known as "Running Back U", while Penn State is
"Linebacker U". That begs the question: when is Virginia Tech going to
finally become known as "DB U"?
The Hokies have had seven defensive backs drafted by the NFL since joining
the ACC, and another signed as a free agent.
