Group AA, Division 4 state champion in 2008, Broad Run (Ashburn, VA) had the "right combination of players" last season according to its head coach, Mike Burnett. Broad Run returns a talented rising senior class next season, including three prospects with Division 1A potential.
"We had a perfect combination of a great senior class as far as leadership went, but I think our junior class might be more talented," said Burnett, whose squad defeated Amherst to capture the state title. "We do have a talented junior group. They were able to be the athletes they were and follow the lead of our seniors."
