One of Virginia Tech's biggest targets of the 2009 class will be in Blacksburg this weekend. Brooke Point (Stafford, VA) defensive end Lanford Collins, a 6-4, 240-pound prospect who is #10 on TSL's Postseason Top 40 list, will be on an official visit to Virginia Tech.
After receiving double-digit scholarship offers, Collins has reportedly narrowed his list of schools to three - Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech. He made official visits to Virginia and Penn State in December and also traveled to Boston College earlier in the fall, but the Eagles are no longer in contention.
