The Hokies held their final preseason scrimmage in preparation for the 2008 campaign on Friday afternoon in Lane Stadium. A couple of the true freshmen receivers made big plays in the passing game, and the r-freshmen tailbacks ran the ball with authority.
This scrimmage featured the #1 offense vs. the #2 defense, and the #2 offense vs. the #1 defense. The running game couldn't get much going against the #1 defense, but the young wide receivers did manage to make some plays in the passing game, even against the #1 defense.
