A scheduling conflict almost caused James Hopper to miss Virginia Tech's senior camp in June. Fortunately for the Seventy-First (Fayetteville, N.C.) star, he was able to make the camp and turned in an offer-earning performance. The 5-10, 180-pound prospect recalled the camp expereince and his subsequent commitment to Virginia Tech.

"At first, I had to take the SAT on the day of the camp," Hopper said. "I talked to my mom about changing it. She bargained with me and I was able to go. I performed and got the scholarship. I'm glad I changed the SAT date. Virginia Tech is a big-time school that puts people in the NFL. It is a program that makes people better."
