Coming off an excellent junior season in which he totaled 150-plus tackles including nine sacks, Granby (Norfolk, VA) star Telvion (pronounced Tell-vun) Clark had one thing in mind when it came to his off-season workout plan...run, run, run. All of the training - including a stint on the track team - has paid off for the 6-1, 205-pound linebacker prospect, who showed off his speed at Virginia Tech's camp on Saturday.
"My intention going in to the camp was just to play like I usually play," Clark said. "I wasn't trying to do anything spectacular. I knew I could run a 4.4 in the 40 and I did that. Another thing was that, going in, Coach Newsome had told me the only reason I hadn't gotten an offer was because they were only taking 10 guys in the class. I went out and shut some guys down and got the offer."
