Earlier today, the 6-0, 175-pound rising senior place-kicker turned in a terrific performance at Virginia Tech's camp and left with an official scholarship offer.

"I kicked off the tee, did some kick-offs and then kicked off the ground. I had never kicked off the ground before, but I did all right. I think that is what sealed the deal," said Journell, who booted a 55-yard field goal from off the tee and a 50-yarder from off the ground at today's camp.
