Duan Perez-Means got it done for Hermitage (Richmond, VA) on both sides of the ball in 2007, accounting for four defensive touchdowns and one safety from the defensive end spot and totaling 22 receptions including eight touchdowns at wide receiver. The junior's versatility is what has drawn much interest from Division 1A programs, including official scholarship offers from Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
"Everyone has their own little spin on where Duan could play on the next level," Hermitage head coach Patrick Kane said. "He has those three offers and a bunch of interest from other people. Notre Dame and Purdue were here [on Wednesday] to evaluate him. Virginia Tech likes him as a defensive end. UVa likes him at their outside linebacker/stand-up defensive end position. Syracuse likes him as a tight end. Tennessee likes him as a tight end. Maryland likes him as an H-back. Everybody's got a different take on him. It is really interesting.
