Virginia Tech is one of 15 Division 1 programs to offer an official scholarship to Concord High School (Wilmington) standout Justin Brown , who is one of the top 2009 class prospects in the state of Delaware. At 6-3, 205 pounds, Brown possesses a nice combination of size and athleticism.
"The fact that he is almost 6-4 and he runs very well is impressive. He runs about a 4.55 in the 40," said Concord assistant head coach Greg Mitchell said of Brown, who also has been offered by Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, UNC, N.C. State, Oregon, Penn State, Rutgers and South Carolina, among others. "From my standpoint, he has some of the best hands of any player I've ever coached. He just has a little edge on most kids we play. He jumps well. He runs well. He has all the tools."
