In Goochland (VA) star D.J. Coles , Virginia Tech signed a 4-star prospect who boasts terrific size - he is now 6-4, 210 pounds - and terrific speed (his coach says he has run the 40-yard dash in less than 4.4 seconds). Coles' talent certainly is not a question. What is the question is when he will arrive at Virginia Tech, and this is something that is still up in the air.
Coles has work to do academically if he wants to arrive in Blacksburg in the fall, but he is working hard to accomplish this goal. In fact, he decided against running track this spring in favor of focusing on academics. Should he fall short of making the grade, Fork Union Military Academy is the likely destination.
