Varina (VA) star defensive lineman DeAntre Rhodes made yet another trip to Blacksburg this past weekend, when he attended Tech's Spring Game on Saturday. The 6-3, 265-pound junior, a VHSCA Group AAA second-team all-state selection on offense and defense this past season, has been to Tech numerous times and has enjoyed his experiences. And this was no different.
"I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it," Rhodes said. "The team up there works hard. I met a couple of recruits who were there. I talked to the Hopkins brothers (Antoine, a Tech 2008 signee, and Derrick, a rising junior at Highland Springs), the defensive end from Hermitage (Duan Perez-Means) and Ju-Ju [Clayton]. I met up with some guys in the locker room. I just hung out with my former teammate [Davon Morgan] and just chilled."
