Virginia Tech held a full scrimmage in Lane Stadium on Saturday, and as usual, there is good news and bad news coming out of the scrimmage. The offensive backfield suffered another injury, but on the bright side, the starting defensive line looks like they could be coming together.
The biggest news of the day is the injury suffered by tailback Jahre Cheeseman. Cheeseman broke his left fibula on a carry in the red zone. He was carted off the field, and will have to undergo surgery to fix the problem. However, he is projected to be back to full strength by the time practice begins in August.
