A loaded Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) varsity football squad turned in an outstanding 2007 season, finishing with 13-1 overall record including an undefeated regular season, a Southeastern District championship and a Division 6, Eastern Region championship. Though the Tigers are losing outstanding talents such as wide receivers Kerry Boykins and Todd Harrelson, an outstanding group of players are returning as well.
Led by current sophomore quarterback Phillip Sims and junior wide receiver Tim Smith, head coach Richard Morgan will certainly return some firepower on offense. But the defense, led by two junior linebackers, also promises to be strong once again.
