A year after helping Phoebus (Hampton, VA) capture a Division 5 state championship, 6-2, 200-pound junior quarterback Tajh Boyd has led the Phantoms to an undefeated regular season and a number one seed in the Division 5, Eastern Region playoffs in 2007. Boyd has also established himself as one of the top in-state prospects in the 2009 recruiting class.
"Right now, I have an offer from Boston College, an offer from UVa, an offer from Virginia Tech and I heard Maryland just offered. I haven't gotten confirmation on Maryland, though," Boyd said. "I just came from UVa on Saturday. I planned on going on some more visits, but I haven't had time. I am looking to go see more games. I'm going to see Wake Forest play N.C. State on the 17th."
