Edison (Alexandria, VA) senior wide receiver/defensive back prospect Ben Barber decided last week to make a verbal commitment to Virginia Tech. The 6-0, 200-pound prospect wants to go to Virginia Tech - where his older brother, Willie Pile, played - but there still may be some questions in terms of when he can enroll.
"I called Coach Bud Foster last Wednesday and said I wanted to come," Barber said. "Basically, they just have a numbers situation. They are looking for some guys who commit to come in this coming January or next January. I told him I have my classes in order to come in this January, so when I sign on the dotted line I'll be coming this January."
