Following a monster junior season in which he racked up 98 tackles including 21 sacks, William Blount (Maryville, TN) defensive end T.J. Walker has racked up significant interest from a handful of top Division 1A programs. This includes Virginia Tech, a program he has shown strong interest in at this point.
"Virginia Tech has shown a lot of interest," William Blount head coach Scott Meadows said. "Coach Wiles came down and recruited T.J. He was at our practice and stayed for about three or four hours. T.J. has already been up for an unofficial visit and absolutely loved the place. I don't think I am speaking out of turn in saying that I believe Virginia Tech to be his leader right now."
