Fork Union Prep standout Marcus Dowtin has quietly become one of the most heavily recruited rising seniors in the Commonwealth. The 6-2, 205-pound RB/DB/LB, who recently demonstrated his outstanding athletic ability at Fork Union's spring evaluation session, is now up to 16 Division 1A scholarship offers.
"At this time I have 16 offers - California, U-Conn, Clemson, Cincinnati, Michigan, Maryland, Marshall, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa State, Rutgers, Syracuse, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia and West Virginia," said Dowtin, who turned in a 3.97 time in the 20-yard shuttle and benched 185 pounds 22 times at the evaluation session. "I have just recently picked up South Carolina, Marshall and Illinois [this week]."
