Virginia Tech is one of six schools to have offered 6-7, 242-pound defensive end/tight end prospect Earl Okine . A talented prospect out of Gainesville High School (FL), Okine says he captured Virginia Tech's interest recently with his athleticism...athleticism he showed off at a Scout.com combine in Jacksonville last month.
"A day after the Scout.com combine, a coach from Virginia Tech sent me a text message," said Okine, who ran a 4.8 40, a 4.4 in the shuttle and posted a 34-inch vertical leap at the combine. "The next thing I got was a scholarship offer."
