County Player of the Year as a junior at Forest Hills High School (Marshville, N.C.), 6-4, 185-pound guard Dorenzo Hudson felt it was time for a change. The Virginia Tech recruit decided to transfer to Hargrave Military Academy to finish out his prep career and the change has been for the better, as the talented guard feels like an improved player in several ways.
"It was a very good experience," Hudson said of his Hargrave experience. Once he graduates, he's all set to enroll at Tech later this year. He signed with the Hokies last November. "I play against greater competition day in and day out just in coming to practice everyday. It makes you better. It makes you better as a player."
