ESPN #15...Scout.com #24...Rivals.com #29...This is where Virginia Tech's 2007 recruiting class is rated nationally. A very good haul for head coach Frank Beamer and staff, who reclaimed the state of Virginia and filled some key need areas on National Signing Day.
Not surprisingly, Tech's class is highlighted by 5-star Hampton (VA) signal caller Tyrod Taylor. But there is more to this class than just one player. Taylor, known for his good character off the field in addition to his obvious talents on it, is just an example of the type of character individuals Coach Beamer feels he has signed in this class.
