“He’s a competitor,” Landstown head coach Steve Canter said of Boyce. “He’s a feisty guy. He’s also a smart football player. Last season, he did a great job of getting us lined up, which is important because we like to shift a lot. He exceeded my expectations at quarterback because he hadn’t done it since 2004, when he was on the JV team. He’s athletic. We are planning on running the ball with him more next year, so he’ll have more opportunities to showcase his athletic ability.”

Xavier Boyce , a 6-4, 200-pound quarterback/defensive back prospect, has received offers from two ACC schools in this early going of his recruitment. The Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA) junior is a versatile, athletic player who led Landstown to an 8-2 record in 2006, his first season as the starting quarterback.
