This time last year, Bobby Massey, then a sophomore, transferred from Appomattox High School to Liberty Christian Academy. The move has turned out very well so far for the massive offensive line/defensive line prospect, a junior who has drawn the attention of both Virginia and Virginia Tech coaches in the early going.
On the gridiron this past season, Massey earned first-team all-state honors for his performance at offensive tackle and earned second-team all-state honors for his performance at defensive tackle. He was first-team all-conference for offense and defense. His junior season performance was certainly an improvement from his sophomore year, but it was his work ethic that really made a huge leap.
