“I had been to Virginia Tech two times, so I knew I had seen most of the things there already,” Jackson said. “I wanted to see how they played and get to know the coaches better. It was the loudest stadium I’ve ever been to. It was just crazy. They have great fans. As for the coaches, Coach Cav is recruiting me but I was talking most of the time to Coach Wiles. Coach Wiles is a great person. Coach Beamer was great. He was telling me about the academics there and the football program. He was telling me how they go to a bowl every year. They were talking about how bad they want me. They are recruiting me as a d-lineman but they think I could also play outside linebacker.”
