Virginia Tech received some good news on Saturday morning when the state of Virginia’s top offensive lineman gave Frank Beamer his verbal commitment. William Alvarez becomes the ninth commitment for the Hokies’ 2007 recruiting class.
Alvarez, a 6-5, 305-lbs. offensive lineman from Hylton High School in Woodbridge, VA, is rated the #6 recruit in the state of Virginia by TechSideline.com. The commitment of Alvarez is extremely important for the Hokies, who need offensive linemen in this year’s class. With Alvarez, along with the #10 recruit in the state, Blake DeChristopher, Tech is off to a great start at this important position.
