Rivals.com recently released their Top
100 players in the nation, and there are several Virginia Tech targets on the list, including two from the state of
Virginia. The competition will be tough, as always, but the Hokies have a good chance to pull in several of the more
highly-touted players in the nation.
The two players from the state of Virginia in the Top 100 are Hampton High School quarterback Tyrod Taylor and
Kempsville High School wide receiver Jay Smith. The Hokies are squarely in the mix in both players’ recruitment, and
most consider Tech the leader for Taylor, who is one of the top quarterbacks in the nation.
