With just under three months remaining until the start of football practice
in August, it won't be long before the majority of the 2006 recruiting class
is on campus in Blacksburg. In fact, some have already participated in spring
practice. But some are having qualification issues, and you won't see them in
Blacksburg until 2007. Here is a status report on each recruit of
the 2006 class.
Most experts consider the 2006 class to be slightly less talented than some
previous classes. But nevertheless, there could be more players counted on to
contribute as true freshmen than in most previous classes. For example, the 2005
recruiting class was considered to be one of Tech's best ever, yet only one
player, Macho Harris, played as a true freshman.
