Earlier today, Lee County (Sanford, N.C.) defensive line prospect Joey Hall learned that Virginia Tech would indeed be offering him a scholarship. As expected, it didn't take the 6-3, 260-pound prospect very long to accept the offer. Only hours ago, Hall became the 20th player to commit to Tech's 2006 recruiting class.
"I got the offer this morning," Hall said. Tech is his childhood favorite. "I knew I was going to find out today or tomorrow. My phone rang this morning while I was in class and it was my coach. I knew why he was calling. I knew as soon as my coach said my name that it was good news. Then I called the Virginia Tech coaches and committed."
