It’s safe to say that Rashad Phillips made the right decision this fall. After choosing not to play football last season as a junior, the 6-4, 205-pound senior decided to give it a go this year and has seen tremendous results. Because of his outstanding performance at the wide receiver and defensive end positions, Phillips has received a handful of Division 1A scholarship offers.
“He’s got a first step that’s very, very quick,” Landstown head coach Chris Beatty said of Phillips. “Some teams like him on defense and some teams like him as a tight end. He’s a really good athlete and he's a 6-4 guy who has lots of growth potential. He had a ton of sacks this year and he made 34 catches on offense, so he has soft hands.”
