Highland Springs has become only the eighth high school in the country to send at least one player to the Army All-American Bowl in consecutive years. Today, 6-3, 235-pound linebacker Jarrell Miller was officially named as a 2006 Army All-American.
“It’s been great obviously to have two great players go [to the Army game] back-to-back, but I think it speaks to the type of community and the type of program we’re trying to build here,” Highland Springs head coach Scott Burton said. Victor "Macho" Harris was named last year. “We’re not trying to build a team, we’re trying to build a program. You have to pass a character test when you’re selected for the Army game, so it’s a testament to them as individuals and shows that they are good kids as well.”
